Every parent accepts a child as a trust from Allah SWT, from the beginning of pregnancy to adulthood. This article aims to thoroughly describe a child's obligations from an Islamic perspective, as well as the importance of fulfilling these responsibilities in daily life. Literature review is considered an appropriate method for gathering as much information as possible from available sources, focusing primarily on Surah Luqman (The Qur'an, 14) and Surah Al-Isra' (The Qur'an, 23-24). In the process, the author collected various sources and then sorted them according to the topic to be discussed. The resulting discussion covers various aspects of a child's obligations, such as devotion, gratitude, respect, care, appreciation, listening to advice, and praying for parents. Furthermore, it explains how a child should behave ethically toward their parents, which is an integral part of this obligation. It is hoped that reading this article will contribute positively to the reader's knowledge regarding a child's obligations from an Islamic perspective.
