Abstract

Knowledge and teachers occupy a central position in Islamic teachings, as emphasized in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The hadith not only encourages the obligation to seek knowledge, but also emphasizes the strategic role of teachers as inheritors of the prophetic duty to guide the ummah. This study aims to examine the concept of knowledge and the position of teachers in the hadith and its relevance to modern education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method sourced from classical hadith books, Islamic education literature, and relevant scientific journals. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically by classifying themes and interpreting the meaning of the hadith. The results of the study show that knowledge in the perspective of hadith includes intellectual, moral, and spiritual dimensions, while teachers play a role as educators who shape the personalities of students holistically. These values of hadith remain relevant in modern education, especially in the integration of science, technology, and moral guidance.
