UIN Public Relations \u2013 UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), successfully held a financial literacy education event attended by more than a thousand students. The event, which took place at the Multifunction Hall of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, served as an important opportunity to enhance the younger generation\u2019s understanding of wise financial management.<\/p>\n
The financial education event was attended by Annisa Mahesa, a member of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Banten Governor Andra Soni, OJK Executive Director for Financial Services Industry, Education, and Consumer Protection Dicky Kartikoyono, and the leadership of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten.<\/p>\n
In addition to providing education on financial literacy and inclusion, the event also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the OJK and UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. This partnership is expected to serve as a strategic step in expanding financial education to the academic community and the general public.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, the Rector of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten expressed his appreciation to the OJK for choosing the university as the venue for the financial literacy education program.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to express our appreciation for the OJK\u2019s financial literacy educational event held at the Multifunction Hall of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten,\u201d said the Rector in his opening remarks.<\/p>\n
He hopes that the event will not merely be a ceremonial affair, but will provide students with practical insights into managing their finances, making financial decisions, and recognizing the risks that may arise from using financial products and services.<\/p>\n
The rector also emphasized the importance of improving the public\u2019s financial literacy, particularly among Generation Z, who currently make up the majority of the student body. According to him, young people need to be able to manage their income, distinguish between needs and wants, and use financial services in a sound and responsible manner.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope that this educational program, followed by the signing of the MoU between the OJK and UIN, will improve financial literacy among the public\u2014especially among Gen Z college students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
