Serang, November 13, 2025<\/strong> - In order to strengthen the culture of quality and improve readiness for the accreditation process, History of Islamic Civilization (SPI) Study Program<\/strong>, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA), UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) Banten<\/strong>, organizing activities Simulation of BAN-PT Field Assessment Preparation<\/strong> which lasted for two days, November 12-13, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This activity was held in the main meeting room of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab and was attended by all elements of the academic community, ranging from faculty leaders, lecturers, education staff, students, to representatives of SPI Study Program alumni<\/strong>. The main purpose of this activity is to ensure the readiness of documents, resources, and academic support systems before facing the BAN-PT assessor team at the actual field assessment.<\/p>\n

This simulation is also a form of SPI Study Program's commitment to maintaining academic quality and strengthening transparent and accountable governance.<\/p>\n

\n

Opening and Dean's Remarks: Commitment to Quality Excellence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The activity was officially opened by Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab<\/strong>, who in his speech emphasized that accreditation is not just an administrative process, but a strategic means to evaluate the extent to which the implementation of the vision, mission, and goals of the institution has been realized in real action.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThis simulation is not only a technical exercise to face BAN-PT assessors, but a reflection on the academic journey we have taken. We need to reassess how SPI Study Program has implemented Islamic, scientific, and national values in the process of learning, research, and service,\u201d said the Dean in his speech.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He also appreciated the hard work of the SPI Study Program team who consistently made improvements and improvements in various institutional aspects, ranging from structuring documents, improving the quality of learning, to strengthening cooperation and student involvement in academic activities.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe hope that this simulation will not only produce administrative readiness, but also build the collective spirit of the entire community to continue to maintain the quality, professionalism and integrity of the institution,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

Deepening the Nine Criteria for Accreditation: From Paperwork to Implementation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Over the course of two days, the simulation activities focused on an in-depth review of the Nine BAN-PT Accreditation Criteria<\/strong>, The nine criteria are the main benchmarks in assessing the quality of study programs. The nine criteria include:<\/p>\n

    Vision, Mission, Goals, and Strategy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Governance and Collaboration.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Student.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Human Resources (HR).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Finance, Facilities, and Infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Education.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Research.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  8. \n

    Community Service (PkM).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  9. \n

    Tridharma Outputs and Achievements.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each criterion team is asked to present their work and demonstrate evidence<\/strong> that support the statements in the document Self Evaluation Report (LED)<\/strong> and Study Program Performance Report (LKPS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The lecturers, education staff, and students actively participated in explaining the process of program implementation, graduate learning outcomes, research activities of lecturers and students, and the contribution of SPI Study Program to society.<\/p>\n

    Internal faculty team that acts as \u201cshadow assessor\u201d<\/strong> provided critical feedback on the content and presentation of the documents. They assessed aspects of data accuracy, consistency between the LED and LKPS, and congruence between reports and practices in the field.<\/p>\n

    \n

    \u201cWe want to ensure that all the data we present can be accounted for, not only on paper, but also actually implemented in daily academic activities,\u201d he explained. Head of SPI Study Program<\/strong>, in a discussion session with the internal assessor team.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    \n

    Interview Simulation: Train Readiness and Confidence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In addition to document review, this activity also includes interview simulation<\/strong> for lecturers, students, education staff, and alumni. In this session, participants were asked to practice a question and answer session as will be done by BAN-PT assessors during the field assessment.<\/p>\n

    This simulation aims for all parties involved to understand communication patterns, be able to explain the achievements of the study program convincingly, and show harmony between reports and reality in the field.<\/p>\n

    Some students who participated in the simulation said that this activity helped them understand the important role of students in the accreditation process.<\/p>\n

    \n

    \u201cWe came to know how student contributions are also an important part of accreditation. Not only academics, but also student activities, research, and community service,\u201d he said. Alya Nur Azizah<\/strong>, one of SPI's 2022 students.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    \n

    Evaluation and Reflection Session: Real Steps Toward Superior Accreditation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    At the end of the activity, a reflection and evaluation session<\/strong> led by a team of internal assessors. In this session, each criteria team presented the findings, recommendations for improvement, and follow-up steps for document improvement.<\/p>\n

    Some important notes that are the focus of the evaluation include:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Need for data alignment between LED and LKPS.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Increased achievement of research outputs and lecturer publications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Optimizing the role of alumni in tracer study activities and networking.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Strengthening academic information systems and documentation of tridharma activities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The activity was closed with a direction from the Dean of FUDA who emphasized the importance of building a culture of quality as part of the moral and academic responsibilities of Islamic higher education institutions.<\/p>\n

      \n

      \u201cAccreditation is a mirror of our quality. But more than that, accreditation is a call to continue to learn, improve, and provide the best service to students and the community,\u201d said the Dean closing the activity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      \n

      Towards a Competitive and Competitive SPI Study Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      With the implementation of this simulation, History of Islamic Civilization Study Program<\/strong> shows a mature readiness to face BAN-PT field assessment<\/strong>. This activity not only strengthens the understanding of educational quality standards, but also builds the collective spirit of the entire academic community to continue to maintain academic reputation and credibility.<\/p>\n

      The hope is that through a continuous improvement process, SPI Study Program is able to achieve best accreditation title<\/strong>, At the same time, it has become a leading study program that produces scholars with character, history, and national insight.<\/p>\n

      \n

      \u201cWe are optimistic that SPI Study Program will get the best results. This simulation is a momentum to strengthen our enthusiasm in realizing a superior and competitive study program at the national level,\u201d concluded the Head of SPI Study Program with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n
