FUDA I Wednesday, August 27, 2025 -A total of 62 students of State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten received scholarship assistance from the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) UIN Banten. The scholarship submission event took place in the Multipurpose Hall 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building, with full solemnity and togetherness on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
The Rector of UIN Banten in his speech represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Dedi Sunardi, MH expressed his appreciation to UPZ UIN Banten for consistently channeling zakat, infaq, and alms funds to support the continuity of student education. According to him, this scholarship is clear evidence that zakat funds are able to provide broad benefits for improving the quality of human resources.
Chairman of UPZ UIN Banten, Dr. H. Masduki, M.A. added, that the distribution of this scholarship is part of an annual program aimed at outstanding students and those who need financial support. “Hopefully this scholarship will not only ease the burden of tuition fees, but also become a motivation to continue to improve academic achievement and contribute to society,” he said while saying goodbye to enter the final period of UPZ management, because he was assigned as Head of the UIN Banten Business Center.
Masduki added that dozens of Mustahik came from various Faculty students in UIN SMH Banten, each Mustahik received one million rupiah.
Head of Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs and Cooperation (AAKK) UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Hj. Siti Aminah, M.Pd.I thanked UPZ UIN SMH Banten for the distribution of zakat in the form of scholarships to students. “On behalf of the AAKK bureau, especially UIN SMH Banten, we are very grateful for the scholarship from UPZ, this is part of helping students who really need help related to this scholarship,” she said.
Of the 62 students of UIN SMH Banten, there are 10 people who come from the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab. The names of those who received UPZ UIN Banten scholarships from FUDA are as follows: Sudirman (AFI), Dzakiyyah Hamidah (IAT), Siti Nur Azizah (IAT), Elsi Apriliani (SPI), Aulis Safitri (SPI), M. Sulton Aulia (BSA), Ali Rahman (BSA), Ahmad Haikal (IH), Raihan (IH), Nita Maulida (IPII).
The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Masykur, M. Hum. advised FUDA students who received UPZ scholarships to make optimal use of these scholarship funds. “Please do not look at the size, but the usefulness must be prioritized. Utilize it for things that can support the learning and academic process ”. He said.
