FUDA | Friday (02/10/2023) - Becoming a Professor is a dream for every educator, and all have the same opportunity. However, not all educators are able to tread the path. One of the paths to becoming a professor is being able to publish scientific articles in Scopus Journals.
The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab encourages FUDA doctors to be able to publish scientific articles in Scopus Journals, so that they can reach Professors. Therefore, eight FUDA doctors attended the Scopus Journal Writing Training activity organized by Jogja Academic Writing and Reading Bootcamp (JAWAB) in Yogyakarta on September 27 - October 1, 2023.
Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., Dr. Syafiin Mansyur, M.A., Dr. Badrudin, M.Ag., Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A., Dr. Masrukhin Muhsin, Lc., M.A., Dr. Mohamad Shoheh, M.A., Dr. Eva Syarifah Wardah, M.Hum., and Dr. Aang Saeful Milah, M.A. are doctors with the functional position of Head Lecturer of FUDA who participated in the training activities.
Before the departure of the participants to Yogya, the Rector of UIN SMH Banten gave a message to the Dean of FUDA: “Articles published in reputable journals, as one of the requirements to achieve a professor. Therefore, training like this is very important. I fully support this activity. The more professors on our campus, the more opportunities for each study program to get excellent.” Said Prof. Dr. Wawan Wahyudin, M.Pd.
The activity which lasted for five days was filled with training materials starting at 08.00 WIB until 22.00 WIB. The materials learned are as follows:

The Dean of FUDA, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag. said that this Scopus Journal Writing Training activity is very important for FUDA lecturers who have doctorates with the functional position of Head Rector.
“Alhamdulillah, I would like to thank the JAWAB committee for giving us the opportunity to hone our skills in writing scientific articles. This activity is very important for us to follow, because to achieve a Professor must have scientific articles published in Scopus. We think, publishing in Scopus journals is not an easy thing, so we really hope that by participating in this activity which is fostered by qualified professors can open our minds and sharpen our skills in writing articles that can be published in Scopus Journals.” Said Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag. in his speech at the opening of the activity.
Prof. Iswandi as the training resource person, not only provides motivation, but also provides tips and tricks so that participants' articles can be accepted and published in reputable journals. Writing tips and tricks were explained and practiced technically. Starting from getting ideas for writing themes to compiling references.
In this training, Hard Skills are also honed. So that participants are able to master science, technology, and technical skills in developing Intelligence Quotient related to writing articles in international journals.
After the 5-day training, the participants were given 30 days to improve their articles, according to the direction and guidance of Jawab Yogya.
The activity closed on Sunday, October 1, 2023, the eight FUDA doctors returned to Serang-Banten to carry out other agendas. Hopefully this activity will produce many professors from the Faculty of Uhuluddin and Adab, UIN Sultan maulana Hasanuddin Banten.
