Mohamad Hudaeri is a lecturer of Islamic Philosophy and Muslim Society Studies at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten. He was educated at Daar El-Qolam Islamic Boarding School in Gintung Tangerang, pursued his undergraduate degree at IAIN ”SGD” in Serang, completed his master's degree at UIN SUKA Yogyakarta and his doctorate at UIN Syahida Graduate School Jakarta. He wrote a book: Tasbih and Golok: A Study of the Position and Role of Kiyai and Jawara in Banten; Reconfiguration of Islam: Tradition, Reform and Modernization of Islamic Thought in Indonesia; and academic articles such as: The Pesantren in Banten: Local Wisdom and Challenges of Modernity; Against Secularism: Efforts to Shape the Piety of Muslim Subjects in Banten. He has an interest in the study of Islamic thought in Indonesia and its relation to cultural, social and political developments.
