FUDA - Tuesday, November 12, 2024 - The Philosophy Seminar organized by the Student Association of the Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program at UIN SMH Banten succeeded in inviting widespread attention by raising a fairly controversial theme, namely “Book Review of the Theory of the Collapse of the Polemic of the Holy Book”. The book by Ust. Muhammad Nuruddin, LC. MA. has sparked heated debates among academics and the general public.
In this lively seminar, Ust. Muhammad Nuruddin explained his theory in depth, sparking a discussion rich in arguments and diverse perspectives. The moderator, Zulkifli Reza Fahmi, MS, skillfully facilitated the dialog between the speakers and participants. Critical questions were asked from various perspectives, ranging from theological, philosophical, to historical aspects. The book “The Theory of the Collapse of the Scripture Polemic” by Ust. Muhammad Nuruddin has sparked considerable debate among academics and the general public. This book comes in a context where the understanding of sacred texts is often a source of conflict and division. Therefore, efforts to conduct critical readings of sacred texts are becoming increasingly relevant. The seminar succeeded in creating an inclusive dialog space, where participants from various backgrounds could share their views and perspectives. The moderation conducted by Zulkifli Reza Fahmi, MS. succeeded in creating a conducive and productive discussion atmosphere. Critical questions were raised from various perspectives, ranging from theological, philosophical, to sociological aspects.

This seminar has significant implications for the development of religious studies in Indonesia. Some of them are:

The presence of Muslim religious leaders, academics, students and content creators further enriched the intellectual atmosphere of the seminar. They were not only passive listeners, but also actively provided input and views. The lively discussion showed that the theme was very relevant to contemporary issues faced by Muslims.
