“Where there's a will, there's a way”

Dr. Muhamad Shoheh, M.A. is a permanent lecturer at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, Banten. An alumnus of the University of Indonesia in Philology, he has conducted research and studies on Islamic manuscripts in the archipelago, such as the manuscript of Kitab al-Thibb, the manuscript of Futuh al-Asrar fi Fadha'il at-Tahlil wa al-Adzkar, the manuscript of Risalah Syattariyah, the manuscript of Risalah fi Syuruth al-Hajj, and others. He has previously published the book Kitab al-Jawāhir al-Khamsah: Legacy of Classic Books Throughout the Ages in the Context of the Sultanate of Banten published by Quantum publishers, Yogyakarta. And there are many more works resulting from his research in the field of Islamic manuscripts in the archipelago that are ready to be published. His primary and secondary education was in Madrasah “Syamsul Huda”, and Darussa'adah-Ciganjur. Then continued to KMI Pondok Modern Gontor, Ponorogo, East Java. Then he took his undergraduate and postgraduate education at IAIN/UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The S-3 education was completed at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UI-Depok in 2015.

This native son of Betawi aspired since childhood to become a “teacher”. A teacher who can serve his students to learn, gain knowledge and skills, and also be able to shape character. This aspiration became even stronger after studying at Pondok Modern Gontor. Now, he has achieved his goal. He continues to study and learn. Dr. Muhamad Shoheh, M.A is married to Siti Jubaidah, M.A who is also a Doctor who graduated from UNJ in the field of Linguistics. This Doctoral family, from their marriage, is blessed with two daughters: Rizka Humaira Dhesvina and Aqshal Amani Azhima.

Dr. Muhammad Shoheh, M.A has conducted a lot of research on Nusantara manuscripts to foreign libraries. He is actively involved in scientific forums within the scope of the Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Religion, study centers, educational institutions, domestic and foreign. He is also active in scientific articles on the results of his research in several reputable national journals.
