Workshop on Utilizing Generative AI to Produce Scientific Work

FUDA I Wednesday (June 11, 2025) - Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held Workshop on Utilizing Generative AI to Produce Scientific Work in collaboration with the Indonesian Library Personnel Association (ATPUSI) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. This activity took place in the FUDA 2nd floor hall, from morning until noon.

In her opening remarks, the Chairperson of ATPUSI Banten Province, Rety Widianti, S.E., expressed her appreciation for the implementation of this activity. She emphasized that the collaboration between ATPUSI and FUDA has been established since 2024. This collaboration is increasingly relevant considering that the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab has an Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program which is in line with ATPUSI's vision and mission.

Dr. Jamridafrizal, a lecturer in FUDA's Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program as well as a resource person in this workshop, explained that the presence of participants in this activity was a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the collaboration between FUDA and ATPUSI. This workshop is a tangible form of synergy in an effort to strengthen the capacity of librarians, especially in facing the challenges of the digital era.

“In this fast-paced era, the role of libraries can no longer be static. Librarians are required to continue to adapt and transform to keep up with the times. Information Literacy 5.0 is very important - not just the ability to find information, but also to create, manage and collaborate in the context of smart technology,” said Dr. Jamridafrizal.

He emphasized that libraries, especially in the school environment, must be at the forefront in supporting students and teachers to face the challenges of the era. Society 5.0. Libraries must act as a beacon that provides guidance in the face of the growing flood of information and disinformation.

This workshop is an important momentum to improve the competence of librarians in utilizing technology. Generative AI to support the creation of quality scientific work. Participants are expected to not only absorb the material, but also be able to implement it in the management of their respective libraries.
