FUDA I Monday (June 16, 2025) - The Islamic Library and Information Science (IPII) Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held Field Professional Practicum (PPL) Orientation activities on Monday (16/6) at the FUDA 2nd Floor Conference Room. This event took place from 09.00-12.00 WIB and was opened together with the Hadith Science Study Program in the courtyard of FUDA, according to the direction of the Dean of FUDA.
This activity is intended for sixth semester students as a preparation for PPL, with a focus on strengthening competence and readiness to face the professional world, especially in the field of library and information.
The Head of IPII Study Program, Hadian Rizani, S.S., M.Hum., in his speech emphasized the importance of the role of the first batch as role models. “The first batch must be an example,” he said. He also reminded students to take advantage of PPL as a means of forming a professional attitude before joining the Kukerta/KKN program.
The core material was delivered by academician and practitioner Dwi Fajar Saputra, S.Sos., M.M., who invited students to not only focus on technical aspects, but also understand library development strategies. He highlighted the importance of mastering regulations such as Permenaker No. 3 of 2016 and SKKNI No. 236 of 2019 concerning the Library Field.
“Students must master three important cognitive aspects: planning, reporting, and evaluation,” he said. He also advised students to become agents of change at their internship sites. “Don't just follow the work culture, but bring innovation.”
The next session was filled by the Secretary of IPII Study Program, Verry Mardiyanto, M.A., who explained the technical procedures for implementing PPL, including administrative steps and field supervisor assignment mechanisms.
Through this activity, IPII students are expected to be able to carry out PPL optimally, full of innovative spirit, and ready to face the world of work with superior competence.
