28th Anniversary of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Study Program (Iat) Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab Uin Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten Theme: Gen-Z Rising With Qur'an

FUDA I 10-11 September 2025 - The Student Association of the Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Science Study Program (HMPS IAT), Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held the 28th Anniversary of the IAT Study Program, which lasted for two days. The event was held in the FUDA Hall on the 2nd floor, with a series of activities that reflect the spirit of academic, spiritual, and cultural harmony. This activity is considered to be an important moment in strengthening the synergy between the IAT Study Program, students, alumni, and elements of society who care about the development of Qur'anic values.

The event was also attended by faculty leaders, education staff, Chairperson and Secretary of the IAT Study Program, representatives of student organizations, alumni of the IAT Study Program, and various invited guests. The official remarks were delivered by the Head of HMPS Al-Qur'an Science and Tafsir Muhamad Alif Zibran. In his remarks, ”We highly appreciate the dedication of the entire academic community who have made the IAT Study Program a scientific home for the Qur'an and Tafsir. Hopefully at this increasingly mature age, IAT Study Program can continue to produce young mufassirs who are able to present Qur'anic interpretations that are contextual and relevant to the times, as well as become a Qur'anic generation with noble character and contribute significantly to the progress of the nation.”

The Dean of FUDA who was represented by Vice Dean III of FUDA Dr. KH. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A who also officially opened the event by symbolically cutting the Tumpeng. In his speech ”Activities like this must be appreciated and I represent the faculty will always support activities like this. Hopefully the IAT Study Program can continue to move forward and excel”. Dozens of students participated in enlivening the event with art performances such as

dance, hadroh, and acoustic band that created a festive and memorable atmosphere.

The series of events on the first day included Simaan Binnadzhar 30 Juz, opening ceremony with tumpeng cutting, and various student art performances. The highlight of the first day was a scientific seminar presented by the Chairman of the Banten Province Terrorism Prevention Coordination Forum (FKPT), Chairil Anwar, S.H. In his seminar, the highlight of the first day was a scientific seminar themed “Qur'anic Youth Against Terrorism for Golden Indonesia 2045” presented by the Chairman of the Banten Province Terrorism Prevention Coordination Forum (FKPT), Chairil Anwar, S.H. In his presentation, he explained that students and Gen Z are often the target of the spread of radical terrorism because they are considered to have a strong religious spirit but an in-depth understanding of religion, are easily influenced, and are still looking for their identity. He emphasized the importance of understanding the Qur'an contextually by paying attention to the meaning of words, asbabun nuzul, interpretations, and views of various figures to avoid misunderstandings that can lead to extremism. “Terrorism is not only a security issue, but also moral and spiritual. Qur'anic youth are the key to change and the guardians of the nation's future who must become agents of peace, instilling the values of tawhid, noble morals, and tolerance,” he said.

The second day of the activity opened with Sholawat Together by the Hadroh Team which created a deep spiritual atmosphere, followed by Haul Masyaikh and Istigosah led by Dr. Badrudin M. A as a form of respect for the scholars and predecessors in the development of the science of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir. On this occasion, Zaenal Mutiin, M.A (Alumni of IAT Study Program) explained the long history of IAT Study Program which was formerly known as Hadith Interpretation Study Program (TH). He explained that TH has a philosophy of three “transfers”: head transfer (knowledge), hand transfer (skills), and heart transfer (values and sincerity). “Although there were not many TH students in the past, their creativity was extraordinary. From there, TH Study Program developed into a more mature and characterized IAT,” he said. The event continued with Sasarehan, closing prayer, religious performances.

 

The 28th IAT Milad event received extraordinary response from various student organizations and Islamic educational institutions throughout Indonesia who gave congratulations such as FKMTHI, PSTN and HMPS IAT throughout Indonesia. High enthusiasm was seen from dozens of students from various Islamic universities in Indonesia, showing solidarity and strong brotherhood in the development of the science of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir.

With gratitude, all participants enjoyed the milad atmosphere in the spirit of ukhuwah that combines spiritual nuances with the vibrant arts displayed by students. This proves that IAT students not only excel in academics, but are also rich in artistic and cultural expressions. Thus the news of the 28th Anniversary of the IAT Study Program FUDA UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten which has taken place successfully in an orderly, solemn, and weighty manner. Hopefully this 28th Anniversary will become an important momentum in strengthening solidarity, strengthening commitment in grounding the Qur'an, and making IAT Study Program a pioneer of Qur'anic civilization that educates and enlightens society.
