Biography

Dr. Masykur, M.Hum born in Cirebon, June 17, 1976. He currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten (period 2025-2029). Previously, he served as Vice Dean II Faculty of Da'wah, Secretary of LP2M, and Secretary of Halal Center at the same university. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Masykur is also active in religious and social organizations, among others as Deputy Secretary of RMI PWNU Banten (2020-2021).

Dr. Masykur pursued higher education in philosophy - S1 Aqidah Philosophy at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, then continued to Master and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Indonesia, Depok. His areas of expertise include Islamic philosophy, religious moderation, and contemporary Islamic thought studies.

As a prolific academic, he has written a number of books and scientific articles, including “Paul Ricoeur's Theory of Interpretation” (2015), “Banten Women Scholars” (2017), and “Replanting Religious Moderation to Build National Diversity” (2020). His writings are also published in various national and international journals such as Journal of Ecohumanism and Walisongo: Journal of Socio-Religious Research.

In addition to actively writing, Dr. Masykur also plays a role in the development of religious moderation and halal certification in Indonesia, by participating in national trainings such as Religious Moderation Training of Trainers (Ministry of Religious Affairs) and Training of Halal Supervisor (BPKPH Kemenag RI).
