Prophetic Mission of PTKI Scholars: Facing the Challenges of Society Era 5.0 with the Spirit of the Qur'an and Sunnah

The Society 5.0 era is bringing about major changes in various aspects of life, including economic, political and social. However, behind technological advancements and innovations, there are serious threats that can undermine the fabric of society, namely corruption and malicious mining that harm the country and cause distress to the nation.

In this context, PTKI scholars, especially graduates of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten have an important role in preventing and overcoming this problem. Their prophetic mission is to ground the values of the Qur'an and Sunnah to create a just, honest, and integrity society.

The Qur'an and Sunnah emphasize the importance of honesty, justice and responsibility in every aspect of life. In Surah Al-Baqarah verse 188, Allah SWT says:
وََلا تَأْكُلُوْٓا اَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتُدْلُوْا بِهَآ اِلَى الْحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُوْا فَرِيْقًا مِّنْ اَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالْاِثْمِ وَاَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَࣖ.

“Do not eat of the wealth among yourselves by means of unlawful means, and do not bring it before the judges so that you may eat of the wealth of others by way of sin, when you know.”

Ibn Rushd, in his book بداية المجتهد و نهاية المقتصد, emphasized the importance of preventing corruption and evil acts in government. He states that leaders must possess traits such as honesty, justice, and responsibility to prevent corruption and evil acts.

In the book, Ibn Rushd discusses the concepts of “al-maslahah al-ammah” (public interest) and “al-maslahah al-khashshah” (private interest). He emphasized that leaders should prioritize public interests over private interests, and that actions that harm society should be prevented.

In the context of malicious mining, Ibn Rushd emphasized that this act is a form of exploitation that is unfair and detrimental to society. He stated that leaders must ensure that natural resources are used for the benefit of society, not just for personal or group interests.

Some of Ibn Rushd's thoughts listed in “Bidayatul Mujtahid wa Nihayatul Muqtashid” are relevant, namely: First, leaders should possess traits such as honesty, justice, and responsibility to prevent corruption and evil acts.” Second, actions that harm society should be prevented, and public interests should be prioritized over private interests.” Third, natural resources should be used for the benefit of society, not just for personal or group interests.”

PTKI scholars should be proactive agents of change in preventing corruption and malicious mining. They can do this by, among other things. First, raising public awareness about the importance of honesty and justice. Second, developing education and training programs that focus on the values of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Third, actively participating in the supervision and monitoring of government and private activities to prevent corruption and malicious mining. Fourth, advocate for policies that are oriented towards justice and honesty.

Thus, PTKI scholars can be at the forefront of preventing corruption and evil mining, and creating a more just and integrity society. Their prophetic mission is to realize the values of the Qur'an and Sunnah in daily life, so as to bring positive changes to the nation and state.
