FUDA I 27 September 2025 - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held a gathering of faculty leaders, academic supervisors (PA), and parents/guardians of new students batch 2025-2026 on Saturday (27/9). This activity was carried out online through the Zoom Meeting application and was attended by hundreds of participants from various regions.
This event aims to strengthen communication between faculty, lecturers, and parents in supporting students' academic success. In addition, this meeting is a forum for equalizing perceptions about the role of parents in accompanying their children during their higher education at FUDA UIN Banten.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Ag., emphasized the importance of synergy between campus, lecturers, and family.
“We realize that student success is not only determined by the learning process on campus, but also by family support. Through this meeting, we want to open a communication space, so that parents can find out about academic progress and provide assistance that is in line with the mentoring program at the faculty,” he said.
In line with the Dean, Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Dr. H. Masrukhin Muhsin, Lc., M.A. on the same occasion explained the faculty's focus on the quality of learning and academic guidance. “We emphasize to all academic supervisors to actively monitor student development. With the involvement of parents, we hope that this monitoring will be more effective, so that students are able to complete their studies on time with the best achievements.” He explained.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean II for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. Hj. Eva Syarifah Wardah, conveyed the importance of transparency and financial planning that supports academic and student services. She also talked about the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and UKT appeal procedures.
“The faculty is committed to providing the best service with efficient and targeted budget management. We want to ensure that all academic and student programs can run optimally with the support of accountable planning and finance.” He explained.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. H. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A., added that in addition to academic aspects, the faculty is also committed to fostering students in the field of self-development and organizations.
“We hope that parents will also support student activities, both academic and non-academic, so that they grow as a generation that is not only intellectually smart, but also mature in character and leadership,” He explained.
The gathering was also filled with introductions of the Heads of Study Programs in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab which amounted to 6 study programs; AFI, IAT, IH, SPI, BSA and IPII. An interactive dialog session was also opened between faculty leaders, PA lecturers, and parents/guardians of students. Several questions were asked regarding the lecture mechanism, academic guidance system, UKT and campus facility support which were directly answered by the faculty leaders.
“We hope that this gathering can be held regularly at least 3 times per semester, at the beginning, middle and end of the semester. It is also hoped that after this initial meeting, the Academic Supervisors will continue communication with student guardians through their respective whatsapp groups,” said the Dean of the Faculty.
With the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that the relationship between FUDA UIN Banten, students, and parents will be closer, so as to create an educational ecosystem that is conducive to the development of new students batch 2025-2026. (Esafa)
