FUDA I September 15, 2025 - The Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten once again held activities Field Professional Practicum (PPL) Orientation for students of batch 2022. The activity held on Monday (15/09) in the Main Hall of the Faculty was attended by more than 30 students.
PPL orientation is an important part of the curriculum that aims to prepare students for direct experience in the field while developing professional competencies. Through this activity, students are given an understanding of professional ethics, practicum procedures, and supporting materials relevant to the field of Islamic aqidah and philosophy.
In his speech, the Head of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program, Mus'idul Millah, S.Th.I., M.Ag., He emphasized the importance of integration between theory and practice in shaping competent and insightful future scholars.
“This field professional practicum is a strategic moment for students to implement the knowledge gained in college while strengthening communication skills and critical analysis,” he said.
On this occasion, several prominent speakers also provided material about practicum preparation, professional ethics, and strategies for carrying out tasks in the field professionally. One of them was, KH. Arif Hidayat, S.Q., M.A.Hum., who presented material on the theme “Eco-Sufism: Sufism as a Solution to Environmental Damage.”
He emphasized,
“After a person identifies himself as having bad qualities, he must go through the process of emptying those bad qualities. When talking about Sufism, if a person does not understand the bad qualities in himself, then his journey will not be completed. The first step of people practicing Sufism is to be good at identifying bad traits in themselves. Imam Al-Ghazali said, there are four bad traits that are the source.”
The Field Professional Practicum of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program is scheduled to take place for one month in 2025 at various partner institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools, religious organizations, and da'wah institutions in the Serang area.
Through this activity, students are expected to have strong provisions to enter the professional world with competencies according to the needs of the times, while strengthening their contribution to the development of Islamic aqidah and philosophy.
