On that occasion, Chairman of STAI Garut Maman Supena said that this meeting was part of the practice of the Prophet's legacy, namely the Qur'an and Hadith, where the lecturers of Hadith Science are the guardians of these two legacies to be spread among the people.
“We need to preserve and maintain these two legacies in the form of studies conducted by people who understand and understand the Qur'an and Sunnah, ASILHA is one of the holders of this legacy,” he explained.
Meanwhile, ASILHA Chairman Moh. Anton Athoillah explained, the theme carried out in this activity was hadith, turath and Modern Scientific Civilization. The theme was raised with the hope that in this era of disruption, hadith must be able to adapt to the modern scientific environment, where hadith can become a foundation in the scientific treasury of science that is integrated-interconnected in scientific findings.
“The position of Hadith Science Study Program and Hadith courses or ulumul hadith, in Islamic Religious Universities has a strategic place, because in every general course will get the course, including in general faculties such as science. So that the results of this become a formulation that is substantively how these traditions can be enjoyed in the general study program that is tailored to their scientific needs, so that it becomes a paradigm and basis for developing integrative hadith science.” He said.
The activity will be closed on Friday, September 15, 2023. Hopefully next year's ASILHA meeting in Banten will leave a lasting impression and spirit of unity.
