FUDA, Monday, July 7, 2025 - The Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten received a visit from the Regional Board of the Indonesian Librarians Association (IPI) of Banten Province in the Study Program Room, Monday (7/7). This audience is a strategic momentum to strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and professional organizations of librarians in Banten.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., who appreciated IPI's initiative to build synergy with the academic world in order to strengthen the librarian profession.
Eight IPI Banten Province administrators for the 2025-2028 period attended this visit and were welcomed by the study program manager, lecturers, and academic community. The discussion was open and communicative, discussing the importance of aligning the education curriculum with the needs of the world of work in the field of library and information.
IPI also provided input on strengthening student competencies through training, certification, and seminar and workshop activities. Both parties agreed to establish sustainable collaboration to produce graduates who are superior and ready to contribute in the digital era.
This audience is the first step in bridging the academic world and professional practice, as well as strengthening the role of librarians as information managers and community literacy agents. The study program hopes that this friendship will continue in the form of real cooperation in the future.
