This course aims to prepare students as college graduates with adequate understanding and skills in Arabic. This course is a compulsory course that must be taken by students and female students, as well as one of the initial provisions for students and female students to take the Arabic language competency standardization exam (TOAFL) at UIN SMH Banten as a requirement for completeness when taking the thesis exam. The material of this course includes: Maharoh Istima` (listening skills) and Maharoh Kalam (speaking skills).

Attitude and Values

  1. Demonstrate an attitude of responsibility for work in their field of expertise independently.
  2. Be fully accountable to the academic values of honesty, freedom
    and the academic autonomy it entails.

Field of Knowledge

  1. Mastering the knowledge and steps of communicating both orally and in writing using Arabic and English in academic development and the world of work.
  2. Mastering knowledge of the basics of Islam as a religion rahmatan lil ‘alamin.

General Skills Field

  1. Able to examine the implications of the development or implementation of science and technology that pay attention to and apply humanities values in accordance with their expertise based on scientific rules, procedures and ethics in order to produce solutions, ideas, designs or art criticism.
  2. Able to document, store, mandate, and retrieve data to ensure validity to prevent plagiarism.

Specialized Skill Areas

Able to read Arabic and English texts related to the study of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy and translate the text to obtain the meaning of its content.

  1. Have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing with Arabic at a simple level (mutawasith).
  2. Have the ability to master the rules of Arabic at an intermediate level.
  3. Ability to read and translate Arabic texts.
