This course is a course that provides an overview of various issues in contemporary Islamic philosophy which includes a discussion of the interaction of Islam with the contemporary (modern) world and its major figures and their important thoughts from various Muslim countries. The significance of this course is to provide an overview of the development of philosophical thought.
Contemporary Islam in Muslim societies that develop in the current era. This will broaden students' thinking horizons and to foster a critical attitude towards the development of thought in Islam.

  1. Pious to God Almighty and able to show a religious attitude in individual, community and national life.
  2. Uphold human values in carrying out duties based on religion, morals and ethics.

  1. Mastering knowledge of the history, growth, and texts of the science of Aqidah and Islamic philosophy broadly, deeply and comprehensively and the dynamics of scientific disciplines, concepts, and methods of the science of Aqidah and Islamic philosophy that are relevant and in the context of the demands of the times.
  2. Mastering the basic foundations, development orientations, and phenomena of creed and Islamic philosophy comprehensively, both aspects of ontology, axiology, epistemology, methodology, and logic as well as the context of study.

  1. Able to apply logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking in the context of developing or implementing science and technology that pays attention to and applies humanities values in accordance with their field of expertise.
  2. Able to translate the teachings of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy to the challenges of contemporary life.
