Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten Holds Simulation of Preparation for Field Assessment of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Science Study Program (IAT)

FUDA I October 03, 2025 - Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University (UIN SMH) Banten held an activity of Simulation of Field Assessment Preparation Study Program of Al-Qur'an Science and Tafsir (IAT) on October 2-3, 2025 in Serang City. This activity was organized as an effort to ensure a superior and impactful educational process, in accordance with the Internal Quality Assurance Standards and the provisions set by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and the Directorate of Islamic Higher Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Through this simulation, the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab is committed to improving the quality of education as well as producing competent graduates in the field of Qur'anic Science and Tafsir. Graduates are expected not only to have strong academic mastery, but also to be able to make a real contribution to society based on the values of Banten's local wisdom.

This activity presented a number of experts and important officials. Prof. Dr. H. John Pahamzah, M.Hum, an academic from Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) Banten, shared insights on strategies to improve the quality of education. The second speaker, Prof. Dr. Hj Umdatul Hasanah, an Accreditation expert and BAN-PT Assessor, also provided direction on strategies for achieving a Superior predicate in accreditation. Meanwhile, Dr. H. Nana Jumhana, M.Pd, Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development of UIN SMH Banten, emphasized the importance of strengthening the accreditation documents of the IAT Study Program based on data and facts that have been managed systematically.

The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum, emphasized that this simulation is a strategic step to ensure the readiness of the IAT Study Program in facing the field assessment which, God willing, will be held on 10-12 October 2025. During the two-day implementation, the Dean also fully accompanied the entire series of activities as a form of concrete support for improving academic quality.

This simulation is very important for all of us, not only to achieve optimal accreditation results, but also to ensure that the educational process in the Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Study Program is truly superior and in accordance with established quality standards. We want to ensure that every IAT graduate is not only academically smart, but also able to make a real contribution to society and bring the good name of UIN SMH Banten.,”This is a great opportunity for us to share our experiences," said the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab.

With the implementation of this simulation, it is hoped that the Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Study Program of UIN SMH Banten will be more stable in facing the field assessment process and be able to strengthen its position as a scientific center that is superior, competitive, and has a positive impact on society.
