Field Practice Visit to the National Library: Deepening Learning in the Library Field to the Library Supervisory Institution

FUDA | Serang 02/12/2024 - The Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten carried out a visit to the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia to explore learning about library fields, on Monday, December 02, 2024.

This visit was attended by 41 students of the third semester of the Islamic Library and Information Science study program, accompanied by the study program secretary, Verry Mardiyanto.

The visit to the National Library was carried out to introduce students to the Library Trustees and to make insights for students as well as to increase knowledge of what is in the national library.

The National Library of the Republic of Indonesia has 24 floors as well as the highest and most complete library in Southeast Asia. The National Library has many collections, ranging from children's collections, elderly collections, closed and open monograph collections, general collections with a classification of 0-900, collections from archipelago cultural performances, and many more collections or services available at the National Library. On the occasion of this visit, students can print member cards that have previously registered online on the National Library e-resource website.
