FUDA Dean Attends Iranian Ambassador's Invitation: Continue Cooperation with Iran

Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, Masykur, and his wife attended the invitation of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Boroujerdi and Mme. Elaheh Boroujerdi at The 47th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran,
Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta.

Also present was Mr. Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2004-2009 and 2014-2019 periods;
Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifah Fauzi; Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf; other state officials; and ambassadors of other countries.

The 47th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran last night began with the reading of Surah An-Nur verse 35 and Surah An-Nasr verses 1-3. It was followed by remarks from the Iranian Ambassador who praised Indonesia's non-aligned policy amid increasingly complex global geopolitical dynamics. According to Ambassador Boroujerdi, Indonesia still adheres to the principles of independence, balance, and dialog in addressing various international conflicts and rivalries. He considered this attitude to be in line with the approach taken by Iran and other independent countries. In addition, Mr. Boroujerdi also highlighted the weak role of a number of international institutions in responding to various global conflicts. He believes that the application of double standards and the lack of effectiveness of multilateral mechanisms have created a situation that resembles the “law of the jungle” in the world order.

The Indonesian Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection said that Indonesia's cooperation with Iran includes efforts to improve the welfare of society, including women, children and families. According to Minister Arifah Fauzi, the importance of protecting vulnerable groups and empowering women amid global dynamics full of geopolitical uncertainty, humanitarian challenges, and social and economic pressures.

On that occasion, the Dean of FUDA ensured to continue cooperation with the Islamic Cultural Center (ICC) Jakarta and the Iranian Embassy, such as the Iran Corner in the FUDA Library.
