FUDA I October 28, 2025 - In a spirit of togetherness and historical reflection, State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held a commemoration 63rd Anniversary with a series of meaningful activities. This annual event is not only a momentum to celebrate the university's long journey in educating the nation's life, but also an appreciation event for academicians who have made extraordinary contributions to the development of education, research, and community service.
The series of anniversary activities took place since the date of the event. October 6 to October 27, 2025 with the spirit of collaboration, sportsmanship, and spirituality. The event opened with pilgrimage to the tomb of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin and the founders of UIN Banten, This is a form of respect for the services of scholars and figures who have laid the foundation for the establishment of this university.
In addition to spiritual activities, the committee also organized various social and educational activities such as Musabaqah Qiraatil Kutub (MQK) MA and SMA levels, sports exhibition including inter-work unit tennis and soccer, as well as istighosah and prayer together to ask for blessings and smooth running of all academic activities. Not to forget, the donation for orphans and dhuafa children also became part of the anniversary celebration, as a tangible manifestation of UIN Banten's social concern for the surrounding community.
The peak of the anniversary event was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, through activities healthy walk together which was attended by all elements of the academic community, ranging from university leaders, lecturers, education staff, to students. The atmosphere of togetherness and enthusiasm was so strong, especially with the division of door prizes and attractive gifts for lucky participants.
However, the most anticipated moment at the culmination of the event was Awarding the best lecturers and employees in UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten.. This award is given as a form of appreciation for their dedication, professionalism, and contribution in realizing the university's vision towards a superior, moderate, and competitive Islamic education institution.
One of the lecturers who won the prestigious award is Verry Mardiyanto, M.A., lecturer from Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) as well as Head of the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program. He was named as First Level Exemplary Lecturer by EDOM (Evaluation of Lecturers by Students) in UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten in 2025.
Verry Mardiyanto's selection as an exemplary lecturer is the result of his high dedication in carrying out the duties of the tridharma of higher education - education, research, and community service. Through innovative teaching methods and a humanist approach, he is known as an inspiring lecturer who is close to students. Besides being active in academic activities, he is also involved in various scientific development activities and information literacy in the campus environment.
Responding to the award, Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, expressed his gratitude and pride for the achievements of one of the best lecturers in his faculty. “We really appreciate the achievements made by Mr. Verry Mardiyanto. This is a pride for the entire Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab community, as well as a motivation for lecturers and other education personnel to continue to improve performance, professionalism, and service to students and the community,” he said.
He also added that this award is in line with the faculty's commitment in supporting the creation of a superior and productive academic atmosphere. The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, he continued, strives to continue to encourage lecturers to innovate in learning, produce quality scientific work, and actively contribute to social and community activities.
Meanwhile, Verry Mardiyanto himself expressed his gratitude for the award he received. He emphasized that this achievement was not merely the result of individual work, but the fruit of solid teamwork within the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab. “I dedicate this award to all my fellow lecturers, education staff, and students. Without their support, I could not have reached this position. Hopefully this will be an encouragement for all of us to continue to contribute positively to the progress of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten,” he said humbly.
With the selection of one of FUDA's lecturers as an exemplary lecturer at the university level, it is hoped that the enthusiasm for improve academic quality, service, and integrity can increasingly grow in all elements of the campus. This award is also proof that the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab continues to be committed to producing quality educators, with integrity, and high competitiveness in facing the challenges of the world of education in the modern era.
