FUDA UIN SMH Banten Expands Cooperation Network Through “Al-Jabbar" Scheme

December 10, 2025 - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) at Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) State Islamic University (UIN) Banten is aggressively strengthening its position and academic quality by establishing a series of strategic collaborations with several renowned universities in Jakarta and West Java. This extensive network of cooperation is named “Al-Jabbar,” an acronym that represents the scope of the region: Jakarta, Banten, Bandung, and Cirebon Network of Universities.

The Dean of FUDA UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum, stated that the Al-Jabbar initiative aims to improve the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education-education, research, and community service-through cross-institutional collaboration.

Visit and Cooperation Signing

FUDA UIN SMH Banten has started this series of collaborations with visits and the signing of memoranda of understanding, Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Cooperation Agreements (PKS) with several key partners:

 * PTIQ University Jakarta: Collaboration has been established with the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought and the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM). The focus of collaboration includes Ushuluddin scientific development, joint research, and community service programs.

 * UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta: FUDA established a partnership with two faculties at once, namely the Faculty of Ushuluddin and the Faculty of Adab and Humanities. This collaboration is expected to spur curriculum quality improvement, exchange of lecturers and students, and joint scientific publications.

 * UIN Sunan Gunung Djati (SGD) Bandung: The series of collaborations will continue on Thursday, December 11, 2025, with the signing of the MoA with the Faculty of Ushuluddin and the Faculty of Adab and Humanities.

 * And on December 12, 2025 FUDA UIN Banten established a collaboration with Cyber University Sheikh Nurjati Cirebon: Al-Jabbar's initiative will conclude with a collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab in Cirebon, which is expected to open opportunities for cooperation in the utilization of cyber technology in education and religious research.

The Dean of FUDA UIN SMH Banten expressed optimism that the Al-Jabbar Network will be a powerful platform for exchanging resources, expertise and best practices between institutions.

> “This collaboration is not just a ceremony, but a real step to enrich the insights of our students and lecturers, expand the scope of our research, and provide a more significant impact on Banten and regional communities. With Al-Jabbar, we build a scientific synergy based on Ushuluddin and Adab in the midst of the challenges of the times,” he said.

This Al-Jabbar partnership marks a new chapter for FUDA UIN SMH Banten in an effort to produce graduates who excel and actively contribute to the development of Islamic science in Indonesia. (Esafa)
