FUDA - Wednesday, June 25, 2025 - Students of the Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held an activity Green Campus themed “Green the Campus, Save the Future”. This activity is part of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (Kukerta) which is held in the courtyard of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, adjacent to the Faculty of Tarbiyah and the Faculty of Da'wah.
This activity was officially opened by the Head of the Center for Community Service and Rural Development at the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN SMH Banten, Agus Sukirno, S.Ag., M.Pd. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the parties that have realized this campus greening activity.
“Due to budget efficiency this year, Kukerta is divided into two types: thematic and regular. I advise that thematic Kukerta students still follow administrative procedures well and complete activity reports according to the direction of the supervisor. From this efficiency, meaningful thematic independence was born. What you plant today, hopefully it will benefit many people in the future,” he said.
Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., also expressed his appreciation for this activity. He considered that campus reforestation was a step to be proud of.
“This activity looks unique because it is carried out in the campus environment, not in the general public as usual. This shows direct benefits, both for the internal campus and the wider community. Greening movements like this must start from small steps, such as planting trees,” he said.
He also added that a green environment can be a comfortable discussion or meeting space in the future, and encouraged all parties to maintain the planted trees.
Chief organizer of the activity Green Campus expressed his gratitude to all parties who have supported this event. He explained that this activity is in line with the greening program of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten as part of the commitment towards a sustainable environment. green campus.
After the opening ceremony, the activity continued with tree planting in the FUDA yard area. The types of trees planted included rambutan, guava, and orange trees.
Field supervisor, Eni Nuraeni, M.Pd., expressed his hope that this Thematic Kukerta activity would be able to make a real contribution in greening the campus environment.
“The plants planted today not only provide fruit yields, but also produce oxygen which is beneficial for the entire academic community.” he said.
This activity is a concrete step for students in caring for nature and strengthening environmental awareness in higher education.
