FUDA | Monday (10/07/2023) - Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held an Accredited Journal Improvement Workshop at Le Dian Hotel Hall, Serang. The event held on Monday, July 10, 2023 was attended by all journal managers in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab.
The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., directly opened this workshop. He hopes that this workshop will be able to provide knowledge and direction from the speakers, so that journal managers are able to improve the accreditation of journals in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab.
“The journal is one of the important things in an educational institution. The journals at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab are no exception. So we need to pay attention and manage it well. Especially now, it already uses a technology system. So, the managers need to understand very well about good journal managerial. So, I really hope that the implementation of this workshop can increase the accreditation of our journals to a higher level.” Said Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., in his speech while opening the event.
Currently, there are five journals in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab. These journals represent each study program in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, which is managed by a team in each study program. In the near future, the journals in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, must be re-accredited, so this activity is very important to carry out.
Also present in this activity, Dr. Ahmad Habibi Syahid, M.A., as a representative of the UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten Journal House team. He gave many technical briefings and codes of ethics in managing journals. Starting from web settings, to providing tips and directions to improve journal accreditation at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab.
The resource person at this workshop was Mr. Dwi Fajar Saputra, S.Sos., M.M., who is an Information Technology Practitioner in the field of Documentation and Information. He delivered a lot of material related to journal management, especially those related to journal accreditation standards.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the development of journal management technology is getting faster, so it is very necessary for human resources to be able to use it. Not only that, in 2024 there will be new rules governing journal accreditation. So, it is not only journal managerial that must be improved, but also related to the substance.” Bright Dwi Fajar Saputra, S.Sos., M.M.
Then he reviewed all the journals in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, and provided a lot of input for journal managers. So that journals at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab are expected to be able to get high accreditation. The event went smoothly, and then closed with a group photo.
