FUDA | Friday (01/09/2023) - The Head of the Islamic Culture History Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and his entourage were warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten, the Head of SPI Study Program and his staff also welcomed their arrival, even the Vice Chancellor I of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, Prof. Mufti Ali, M.A., Ph.D. The group from UIN SUKA's SKI Study Program arrived at FUDA UIN SMH Banten on Friday, September 01, 2023, at 10.00 WIB in the FUDA 2nd floor conference room.
This visit is a friendship between UIN SUKA's SKI Study Program and UIN SMH Banten's SPI Study Program, as well as the implementation of cooperation between the two institutions. Not only that, their presence in Banten is also to study the history and culture of Banten.
The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag. said that he was very happy to be able to stay in touch directly at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very happy to have guests from the Islamic History and Culture Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. We say Ahlan wa Sahlan, welcome to Banten. Dear ladies and gentlemen, the building we are currently occupying is a new building that was occupied a year ago. Previously, we carried out lecture activities on campus 1, and here is campus 2. So, we apologize if you find a less beautiful view here. Then, before you carry out historical studies in Banten, God willing, there will be a brief presentation from one of Banten's historians, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, and at the same time he is also the Vice Rector I at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, namely Prof. Mufti Ali, M.A., Ph.D. ”explained Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag. in his speech.
Then, Mr. Riswinarno, S.S., M.M. who is the Head of Study Program of SKI UIN SUKA Yogyakarta expressed his gratitude for the welcome and banquet that had been prepared.
“We would like to thank the Dean and his staff for welcoming us here. Alhamdulillah, after all this time our intention to go to Banten, finally it can be done today. We also apologize if we are troublesome here. Hopefully our meeting this time will get the grace of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and our future cooperation will be even better. Thank you also to Mr. Warek I UIN SMH Banten who has taken the time to attend and will give us an overview of Banten's history.” Said the Head of SKI Department of UIN SUKA Yogyakarta, Mr. Riswinarno, S.S., M.M.
Furthermore, Prof. Mufti Ali, M.A., Ph.D., explained the history of Banten from the golden age to the early days of decline discussed based on the history of trade routes in Banten. The material presented provides an overview of the history of Banten, as well as showing the points of historical locations that will be visited directly by the UIN SUKA Yogyakarta SKI Study Program group today. The meeting went smoothly, each institution gave souvenirs and closed with a group photo.
