FUDA | Thursday (06/15/2023) - Four students of the Faculty of Usuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN SMH Banten were able to appear as speakers of the International Conference held in Palembang. The four students became speakers in the IC-TiaRS (The 2nd International Conference on Tradition and Religious Studies) with the theme “The Role of Religion and Tradition in Modern Society”, organized by the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang. This international conference is an important forum attended by academics, practitioners, and researchers from various countries. The conference aimed to showcase the role of religion and the diversity of traditions in modern society in Indonesia.
The four FUDA UIN SMH Banten students who spoke at the international conference were Sabilar Rosyad, Irfan Padliansyah, Dian Auliani, and Qithrotun Nida Aulia. Each student had a specific area of expertise and interest relevant to the conference theme, which gave them the opportunity to contribute to a quality academic discussion.
Sabilar Rosyad, a 6th semester Hadith Science student, delivered a presentation entitled “الحديث في العصر الرقمي: التحديات والفرص في استخدام التكنولوجيا”. Irfan Padlian Syah, a 4th semester Hadith Science student, delivered a presentation entitled “وجهة النظر فاطمة مرنيسي التأويلي فيهم الحديث النبوي الكاره لنساء”. Dian Auliani, a student of History of Islamic Civilization, delivered a presentation entitled “Practices Of Inter-Religious Harmony In Banten (Review Of Community Life Around Maria Bukit Canada Cave, Lebak Banten)”. And finally, Qithrotun Nida Aulia, a student of Qur'anic Science and Tafsir, delivered a presentation entitled “Islamic Cyber Youth: Qur'an on social media”.
The four FUDA students successfully delivered their presentations with confidence. Not only did they successfully become presenters in IC-TiaRS, at FUSHPI UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, but two of them won the award for Best Presenter. They are Sabilar Rosyad (Hadith Science) and Dian Auliani (History of Islamic Civilization).
Furthermore, the four FUDA students will return to Banten after carrying out their duties as speakers in Palembang. The event, which was held from June 14, 2023, ended on June 15, 2023. Hopefully they will be a motivation for other FUDA students to dare to speak in international forums.
