Socialization of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten at MAN 1 Serang City

Serang, February 26th - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held socialization activities at MAN 1 Serang City in order to introduce study programs and academic opportunities to class XII students.

The activity, which took place in the madrasah hall, was enthusiastically welcomed by the students and teachers. The socialization team explained the faculty profile, lecture system, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects for graduates.

Remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab said that this activity was part of the faculty's commitment in bringing the world of higher education closer to madrasa students.

He emphasized that the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab does not only study Islamic sciences textually, but also contextually and relevant to the times.

“We want to produce a generation of Muslim intellectuals who are critical, moderate, and able to contribute in various professional fields,” he said.

Remarks by the Deputy of Infocomm

On this occasion, Hj. Reniati, S.Si., M.Pd. as the Deputy for Infocomm of MAN 1 Kota Serang also gave a speech and appreciation for the implementation of this socialization activity.

He expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten for providing information directly to students regarding the choice of study programs and career opportunities in the future.

“Activities like this are very beneficial for our students, because it gives them a real picture of the world of college and helps them make study choices that match their interests and talents,” he said.

Presentation of Material by the Head of Study Program

In addition to the dean's remarks, each Head of Study Program also delivered material directly to the students.

1. Study Program of History of Islamic Civilization (SPI)

The Head of the SPI Study Program explained that students will study Islamic history comprehensively, starting from the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, khulafaur rasyidin, Islamic dynasties, to the development of Islam in the archipelago.

He also emphasized the importance of historical studies in building future civilizations.

“Learning history is not just remembering the past, but understanding the patterns of civilization to build a better future.”

SPI students are also equipped with historical research methodology, manuscript philology, and Islamic manuscript studies.

2. Arabic Language and Literature (BSA) Study Program

The Head of BSA explained that this program emphasizes the mastery of four Arabic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

In addition, students also study classical and modern Arabic literature, Arabic linguistics, and translation practices.

He said that BSA graduates have the opportunity to become professional translators, educators, diplomats, and academics.

3. Hadith Science (IH) Study Program

The head of the Hadith Science Study Program explained that students will explore the study of hadith through the sanad and matan approaches, hadith criticism, and the methodology of understanding hadith in the contemporary era.

Students are also trained to conduct digital-based hadith research through the utilization of modern hadith applications and databases.

“Hadith science is very relevant to answer various religious issues in society scientifically and responsibly.”

4. Islamic Library and Information Science (IPII) Study Program

The Head of IPII explained that this program combines information management, digital technology, and Islamic values.

Students learn library management, digital archives, information literacy, and library classification and automation systems.

IPII graduates have the opportunity to work as professional librarians, archivists, data managers, and information personnel in various educational institutions and government agencies.

Student Enthusiasm

The question and answer session was active. The students of MAN 1 Kota Serang showed high interest in university entrance, scholarships, and student life on campus.

The madrasah expressed its appreciation for this activity because it provides a clear picture of advanced study options, especially in the Islamic and humanities fields.

Through this socialization activity, the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab hopes to attract prospective students who are superior, have integrity, and are ready to contribute to society and the nation.
