Pandeglang, February 26 - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held socialization activities at MAN 1 Pandeglang City as part of an effort to introduce study programs and higher education opportunities to class XII students.

The activity, which was held in the madrasah hall, took place with great enthusiasm. The students seemed to actively listen to the presentation of the material and were involved in discussion and question and answer sessions.

In this socialization, the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab introduced two study programs, namely:

1. Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy (AFI) Study Program

The Head of the Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Study Program explained that this study program examines the issue of faith (aqidah) rationally and philosophically. Students will study the science of kalam, classical and modern Islamic philosophy, the thoughts of Muslim figures, and the dialog between religion and science.

He emphasized that AFI equips students with the ability to think critically and argumentatively in answering various religious and social issues in the contemporary era.

“Students of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy are trained to be able to dialogue scientifically, moderately, and open to various thoughts.”

AFI graduates have career opportunities as academics, researchers, religious instructors, and practitioners in religious and government institutions.

2. Study Program of Al-Qur'an Science and Tafsir (IAT)

Meanwhile, the Head of the Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Science Study Program explained that this study program focuses on in-depth Al-Qur'an studies, both from the aspect of ulumul Qur'an, tafsir methodology, to thematic and contemporary tafsir studies.

Students are also introduced to classical and modern tafsir approaches, as well as the utilization of digital technology in Qur'anic studies.

“We want to produce a generation of young mufasirs who are able to understand and explain the content of the Qur'an contextually and relevant to the challenges of the times.”

IAT graduates have the opportunity to become academics, researchers, preachers, and religious consultants in various institutions.
