The Al-Qur'an and Tafsir (IAT) Study Program of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten successfully held a Field Professional Practicum Orientation (PPL) with the theme “Al-Qur'an, Society, and Digital Transformation in Banten and Indonesia”.
This activity took place in the Hall of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab and was attended by 135 7th semester students who will carry out PPL in various Islamic boarding schools and religious institutions in the Serang area, Banten.
The event was attended by various important figures of the faculty, including the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M. Ag., the Head of the Department of Qur'anic Sciences and Tafsir, Mr. H. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A., and the Secretary of the Department, Mr. Hikmatul Luthfi, MA. Hum along with other lecturers and education staff.
In his speech, the Head of IAT Study Program, H. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A., emphasized the importance of PPL as a mandatory activity for 7th semester students. He said “that the purpose of this PPL is to develop students” ability to research in the field of Qur'anic Science and Tafsir professionally, and prepare them to become competent researchers and novice mufasir".
“PPL participants will be deployed to 10 Islamic boarding schools in the Serang, Banten area to practice and develop their knowledge in the field of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir. In addition to producing activity reports, they are also expected to be able to compile scientific works in the form of articles or books with ISBN,” explained Mr. H. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A., who also acted as the Chief Executive of the activity.
Furthermore, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag. expressed his hope that students will be able to adapt to the rapidly growing digital transformation. “This PPL is an important moment for students to not only interact directly with the community through pesantren, but also to use digital media as a means of spreading Qur'anic values that are relevant to the times,” he said.
