FUDA I December 5, 2025 - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten successfully organized the FUDA Tahfidz Camp Year 2025 for two days, from December 4-5, 2025. This activity was attended by 55 first semester students as part of the Tahsin al-Qirā'ah and Tahfidz al-Qur'an competency strengthening program.
On the first day, the Tahfidz Camp series began with an International Seminar with the theme: “Artificial Intelligence and Qur'anic Linguistics: Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Age.” The International Seminar and Tahfidz Camp presented keynote speakers from the Sudan International Al-Qur'an University, namely Shaykh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdillah Ali Muhyiddin, an international expert in Hadith Science, and Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar, M.A., lecturer in Qur'anic Science and Tafsir at FUDA.
In his presentation, Shaykh Dr. Muhammad emphasized the urgency of utilizing technology as a means of da'wah while maintaining the scientific authority of Islam. “Technology can be a tool, not a substitute for sanad and scientific tradition.” he said.
In the second session after Dzuhur, participants followed intensive material on Tahsin and Tahfidz al-Qirā'ah, as well as hadith studies delivered by a team of experts from the Jakarta Hadith Study Center (PKH). The approach of talaqqi, tashih reading, and tasmi’ became the main reinforcement of the session.
On the second day, the agenda focused on intensive practice, including Individual Talaqqi and Tahsin, Tasmi’ Memorization, Muroja'ah Based on Stages of Memorization and Muhasabah. Participants were directly guided by the core resource person, Ust. Fahmi Raudhotul Ulum, M.A., the caretaker of Masarratul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. He emphasized that discipline in maintaining memorization is the main spirit of a memorizer of the Qur'an. “Memorizing the Qur'an is a gift, but keeping it is a trust. Consistency of muroja'ah is the main key so that memorization remains attached to the soul,” he said in one of his sessions.
The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity. He emphasized that Tahfidz Camp is part of the faculty's commitment in forming young scientists with Qur'anic character.
“FUDA not only produces intellectually intelligent scholars, but also strong in spirituality. This Tahfidz Camp is an endeavor for students to be close to the Qur'an from the beginning of their academic journey.” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Organizer of Tahfidz Camp, Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar, M.A., explained that this activity was designed as a strategic program in supporting faculty learning outcomes, especially in Qur'an-based Islamic competence.
“This program is not just a supporting activity, but part of FUDA's academic roadmap. By participating in Tahfidz Camp, students are expected to have a foundation of correct reading and memorization according to the rules of tajweed.,” said Endang.
For two days, participants participated in a series of activities in the form of: Talaqqi and Tahsin Qira'ah, Tasmi’ Memorization Per Juz, Group Muroja'ah and Muhasabah Jama'i. The activity was closed with a reading procession khatmil Qur'an and handing over certificates to all participants.
By organizing this Tahfidz Camp, FUDA hopes to give birth to a Qur'anic generation that is superior, moral, and ready to contribute to the development of Qur'anic knowledge in the future. (Esafa)
