FUDA I ash (May 14, 2025) -Study Program Student Association (HMPS) History of Islamic Civilization (SPI) UIN SMH Banten has successfully organized activities History of Islamic Civilization Webinar cooperate with HIMA Sejarah Peradaban Islam UNUSIA Jakarta, and collaborate with Bayt Al-Qur'an Museum. This activity is carried out online through the Zoom application on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 8:00 pm.
This webinar was attended by more than 50 participants, The participants consisted of SPI and non-SPI students of UIN SMH Banten, UNUSIA Jakarta students, as well as a number of students from various other universities.
Series of Events
The activity began with the opening by the MC and singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, This was followed by remarks from representatives of the two student associations as organizers.
Alan Maulana, Chairman of HMPS SPI UIN SMH Banten, in his speech said:
“This activity is a very meaningful forum for cross-campus scientific collaboration. Through this webinar, we are invited to explore the historical heritage of Islamic civilization in Indonesia as part of our identity and pride as the next generation of the nation. Hopefully this forum will strengthen the academic spirit and scientific ukhuwah among us.”
The next speech was delivered by Andika Febriansyah, Chairperson of HIMA SPI UNUSIA Jakarta, who said:
“This webinar raises a very important theme in the context of our Indonesianness. The Islamic heritage in the archipelago is not just a relic of the past, but a foothold for the future. By studying it critically, we help preserve the cultural and spiritual wealth that shapes the identity of the nation. Hopefully, synergies like this will continue to be established between history students throughout Indonesia.”
The webinar presented two competent speakers from Bayt Al-Qur'an Museum, each delivered material of high historical value:

The material presented revolves around ancient mushaf artifacts, Islamic calligraphy art, as well as numismatic collections from the time of the Islamic kingdoms in the archipelago. - Ibn A'thoillah - Bayt Al-Qur'an Museum Collection Register
Discusses the historical context and documentation process of various museum collections, as well as the importance of preserving Islamic historical relics in Indonesia.
This webinar succeeded in becoming an educational and dialogical space for students to deepen their understanding of the heritage of Islamic civilization. The discussion took place interactively, showing the high enthusiasm of the participants. This shows a collective awareness of the importance of history, not only as an academic study, but also as part of cultural and national identity.
Furthermore, this activity emphasizes that Islamic heritage is not only in the theological realm, but also encompasses the dimension of cultural, social, economic and political. The existence of artifacts such as ancient mushaf, calligraphy, and coins from Islamic kingdoms are concrete evidence of Islam's contribution to Indonesian history.
This activity is expected to enrich students' academic insights and encourage enthusiasm to be more active in studying and preserving the heritage of Islamic history in Indonesia. This collaboration between student organizations is a real example of cross-campus academic synergy that should be appreciated and continued to be developed in the future.
