FUDA UIN SMH Banten Holds Litapdimas 2026 Proposal Seminar: Focus on Social Innovation and Solutions

SERANG - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten successfully held a series of Litapdimas (Research and Community Service) Proposal Seminars in 2026. This agenda is a crucial stage in the annual research cycle to ensure that each lecturer's research proposal has high quality standards in accordance with the spirit of “Critically, Locally, Globally”. The event, which took place at the end of April, marked the faculty's commitment to producing scientific work that can compete internationally.

Dr. Masykur, M.Hum, Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, in his brief remarks expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the researchers in preparing this year's Litapdimas proposal. He emphasized that research is not just about fulfilling professional obligations.
“We want every proposal presented today to develop into reputable research. Our focus is not only on quantity, but on how these researches provide solutions and sharp new perspectives on various problems of the people and humanity,” said the Dean.

The seminar was conducted intensively in two main sessions. The first session took place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, which was guided by Rika Leli, M.A. as the moderator. The focus of the presentation in this session included the clumps of Islamic Thought and Philosophy, Tafsir and Hadith, Islamic History, and the Collaborative Service program. The discussion went dynamically with the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmad Atabik, Lc., M.Si. and Dr. Anton Widyanto as reviewers who gave many highlights on strengthening methodology and originality of ideas so that research has strong competitiveness.

The series continued in the second session held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, guided by Mashudi, M.A. This session explored proposals in the fields of Tafsir Studies, Hadith Studies, Islamic History, and Arabic Literature. Acting as a reviewer team were Prof. Dr. Deni Miharja and Dr. Syahril Jamil, who dissected each aspect of the proposal in depth.

Throughout the event, the reviewers highly appreciated the diversity of themes raised this year. They assessed that researchers are increasingly daring to get out of their comfort zones by trying new, more contemporary approaches. Even so, the experts still provided detailed constructive feedback, ranging from sharpening the focus of the problem to refining the theoretical basis, to ensure that the final research results are truly mature and have high scientific credibility. They also emphasized that research that touches on the social sphere must have a strong field data base so that the results of the research are truly mature, have high scientific credibility, and are able to become the basis for policies or practical solutions for the wider community.

Through this dialectical space, FUDA UIN SMH Banten hopes to produce scientific works that not only excel at the national level, but are also able to speak at the international level. All input from reviewers is expected to be a compass for lecturers in completing their research and service throughout 2026.
