Outstanding New Generation: The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab Officially Appoints Faculty and Program Ambassadors for 2026

SERANG — A solemn yet spirited atmosphere filled the Auditorium of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) at Campus 2 on Wednesday (June 17, 2026). The leadership and academic community of FUDA at UIN SMH Banten officially inducted the top male and female students selected to serve as Ambassadors of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab and Ambassadors of the Study Programs for the year 2026.

This inauguration ceremony marked the culmination of a rigorous selection process that has been underway over the past few months. The ambassadors inaugurated today have successfully passed various comprehensive assessment stages—ranging from academic knowledge tests and personality interviews to talent showcases—to prove their suitability as representatives of the faculty.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum., expressed his highest appreciation to the participants and winners. He emphasized that the role of Faculty Ambassador is not merely a ceremonial title, but rather a moral and academic responsibility to uphold the institution’s good name.

“Ambassadors of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab must be role models (role model) for other students. ”You are the face of the faculty—agents of change who are expected to promote FUDA’s Islamic values, civility, and academic excellence, both at the university level and on the national stage,” said the Dean of FUDA in front of the invited guests.

In line with this, the Third Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation at FUDA UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar, Lc., M.A., also shared his views on the strategic role of the newly appointed ambassadors. He emphasized that this ambassador selection event is one of the faculty’s key tools for developing soft skills and expand our network.

“These ambassadors are not only expected to excel academically, but must also possess strong communication, leadership, and networking skills. Moving forward, they will collaborate extensively and work in synergy with the Student Affairs and Cooperation Division to establish strategic partnerships with various external parties. They are our frontline representatives in building relationships and fostering a positive image of the faculty among the broader public,” said the Vice Dean III.

The inauguration ceremony featured the recitation of an oath and the symbolic presentation of sashes to the Male and Female Ambassadors of FUDA and the academic programs for the year 2026. Loud applause from the audience—comprising faculty members, program directors and coordinators, representatives of student organizations (Ormawa), the executive board of the Program Study Student Association (HMPS), and students—accompanied this proud moment.

As an extension of the faculty, the 2026 FUDA Ambassadors will be actively involved in various strategic programs. These include welcoming the faculty’s guests of honor, promoting the campus to various schools, and campaigning for academic and social programs. They are expected to serve as effective communicators while inspiring the younger generation to continue excelling.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place in the FUDA Auditorium on Campus 2, concluded with a solemn prayer, followed by a session of congratulations and a group photo with the entire faculty leadership and the newly inaugurated ambassadors. With the emergence of the 2026 generation of FUDA Ambassadors, the faculty is optimistic that it can continue to achieve outstanding accomplishments in the future.
