FUDA | Tuesday (04/04/2023) - Ahmad Najid Rasikhullah, a student of Arabic Language and Literature (BSA), Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten won first place in the Short Story Competition at the Leadership Competition organized by Pemimpin Berkarya Nusantara (PBN) 2023 on March 14-30, 2023.
This race is held in Online from the Instagram account @official.pbn with the theme “a leader can communicate and argue.” This competition was attended by students throughout Indonesia.
FUDA UIN Banten deserves to be proud of the achievements of this student from Bogor, because Najid made FUDA and UIN SMH Banten proud by winning 1st place in the national short story competition. The title of the short story written by Najid is “Restoring lost identity”. It tells the story of a student from Serang majoring in communication who after graduating from college in 2022 returns to his village to help his father farm and overcome all conflicts in the village environment due to differences in choosing political parties in the previous 2 periods, piling up garbage, flooding, su'udzon and a crisis of mutual cooperation concern from the youth.
As a final semester student who is busy working on his final journal thesis, Najid is known to be diligent in participating in literary writing competitions both poetry and short stories from the information he got on his Instagram account.
Najid said he was proud to be a champion in this national short story competition.
“I am proud to be able to win this competition, because this competition passed 2 assessment selections, namely, 60% from the assessment of the jury which was then selected from all competition participants to the top 9, then the second Instagram voting assessment of 40%. Alhamdulillah, family, relatives, friends, even BSA lecturers participated in voting to support me so that thanks to them I could win 1st place, I was touched and very appreciative. effort from all of them” he said.
Furthermore, Najid hopes that with his literary writing skills he can produce works that are useful for himself and spread optimistic values in the surrounding environment with the phrase “it turns out we can too”. According to him, everyone has their own special talents and interests, and we just need to keep trying and developing and appreciate every step we have taken to get to the lake we dreamed of and expected.
