SERANG — The Faculty Student Executive Council (DEMA-F) of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) Banten officially held its Working Meeting today, Monday (June 8, 2026). Held in the 2nd-floor auditorium of the FUDA Building on UIN SMH Banten’s Campus 2, this strategic event carried the overarching theme “Intellectual Consolidation and Strategic Strengthening to Realize a Progressive, Collaborative, and Forward-Looking DEMA FUDA”.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab at UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum. The event was also attended by the dean’s office leadership, a delegation from the University-level Student Executive Council (DEMA), and the DEMA-F FUDA executive board, who will formulate the organization’s direction for the coming term.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of FUDA expressed his high regard for the vision presented by the new executive board.
“The theme discussed today is highly relevant to the faculty’s overarching vision. We hope that the work programs formulated by DEMA-F in the future will not merely be ceremonial in nature, but will also be grounded in the strengthening of critical thinking and the development of intellectual traditions capable of elevating FUDA’s reputation to a higher level. The faculty will always support the progressive initiatives proposed by students,” said the Dean of FUDA.
In line with this, Endang Saeful Anwar, FUDA’s Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, emphasized the importance of synergy and well-thought-out strategies in organizational management.
“Strategic strengthening must begin with the internal cohesion of the executive board. DEMA FUDA must be able to position itself as a strategic partner of the faculty in producing students who are not only active in student organizations but also excel academically and possess a strong collaborative spirit,” emphasized the Vice Dean for Student Affairs.
On the other hand, Alan Maulana, Chair of DEMA-F FUDA, emphasized in his remarks that this Working Meeting is a crucial opportunity to align the ideas of the executive board members.
“Intellectual consolidation is our cornerstone. DEMA FUDA must not merely be event planner ”It should not merely be a series of activities, but rather a breeding ground for progressive ideas. Through this working meeting, we are committed to breaking down sectoral barriers and creating genuine spaces for collaboration, so that we can collectively realize our vision of a progressive DEMA FUDA,” said Alan.
Full support for DEMA-F FUDA’s initiative also came from the university-level DEMA executive board. A representative from DEMA UIN SMH Banten, who was also present, expressed the hope that FUDA would continue to be a pioneer of constructive movements on campus.
“We see tremendous intellectual potential at FUDA. The collaboration between the Faculty DEMA and the University DEMA must continue to be strengthened in the future. The progressive and strategic steps announced by our colleagues at DEMA FUDA today serve as a shot of positive energy for the overall direction of student activities at UIN SMH Banten,” he said.
Following the solemn opening ceremony, the Working Meeting agenda continued with committee sessions. During these sessions, the entire executive board formulated a blueprint for strategic work programs that will serve as a guideline for student activities at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab for the upcoming term.
