Inspiring! Fuda Islamic Library and Information Science Student of UIN SMH Banten Fills Holidays with Independent Internships Since Semester 3 for Career Provisions

Serang, Thursday, August 08, 2025 - In facing the tight competition in the world of work in Indonesia, initiative and readiness are the main keys to success. Answering this challenge, a number of students of the Islamic Library and Information Science (IPII) Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten took a bold step by participating in an independent internship program since sitting in the third semester in several institutions related to the Islamic Library and Information Science study program.

Various data shows that the competition for quality jobs in Indonesia is getting fiercer. A bachelor's degree alone is no longer enough. Today's workforce demands graduates who not only excel academically, but also have practical experience and professional skills.

Realizing this condition, IPII UIN Banten students chose not to just wait for the official internship schedule from the campus. Instead, they took the initiative to go directly into the world of work through an independent internship program.

“In today's increasingly difficult employment situation, I don't want to just sit back and rely on my diploma. I want to know early about the world of work and prepare myself so that I won't be surprised after graduation.” said one of the students participating in the independent internship.

This internship program is a place to apply the theory that has been learned in the classroom into real practice, while accelerating students' understanding of the dynamics of the world of work.

This inspiring step was appreciated by the Head of IPII Study Program, Mr. Hadian Rizani, S.S., M.Hum. According to him, this initiative shows the high spirit and maturity of thinking of the students in preparing for their future.

“We strongly support students who actively seek experience and build professional relationships early on. This is in line with the vision of the study program in producing graduates who are competent and adaptive in the world of work.” he said.

With high enthusiasm and determination, IPII students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten not only gain valuable experience, but also begin to build a professional network that will be very useful after graduation. This independent internship initiative proves that students are able to become agents of change, not only for themselves, but also for their surrounding environment.
