BANTEN - Ahead of the grand event of the National Scientific Competition for Ushuluddin Students (KINMU) V, the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) Banten continues to intensify coaching activities for its students. This year, FUDA UIN Banten appears all-out by sending 70 strong delegates who are ready to compete and fight for the title in all available competitions.
The national-scale competition that brings together Ushuluddin and Adab students from various universities is scheduled to take place during the week, starting from May 18 to 25, 2026. In this fifth edition, UIN Alauddin Makassar has the honor to act as the host.
The 70 delegates from FUDA UIN Banten will be divided to compete in three main fields, namely the Scientific Field, Research Field, and Art Field. Realizing the tight competition, the faculty has facilitated a series of intensive coaching programs to ensure mental readiness, mastery of material, and maturation of the delegates' work.
The Dean of FUDA UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum., has high hopes for this year's contingent. He emphasized that the KINMU V event was not just a forum for competition for trophies, but also a stage for scientific actualization and an academic gathering for Ushuluddin students throughout Indonesia.
“We really hope that these 70 delegates will be able to give their best performance and bring home achievements that make FUDA UIN SMH Banten proud in the national arena. More than that, I advise all participants to always uphold sportsmanship, maintain manners and morals, and make the momentum of KINMU V in Makassar as a space to expand scientific networks and experience,” said Dr. Masykur on the sidelines of coaching activities.
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation of FUDA, Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar, M.A., also provided a comprehensive evaluation regarding the progress of the preparation of the contingents who will soon compete. In his observation, the coaching program that has been running shows very positive results.
“Overall, the evaluation of this coaching stage shows the progress of the delegation's readiness which has reached the optimal point. In the Scientific and Research Field, arguments and drafts of student research have been discussed very sharply with the Supervising Lecturers of each branch. Similarly, in the Art Field, the participants have shown appreciation and mature techniques,” explained Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar.
However, Dr. Endang still reminded the participants not to be complacent in the calm period before the start of the competition.
“Our evaluation note in the remaining time is to focus on maintaining physical stamina and competing mentality. The atmosphere of the KINMU V competition will certainly be very challenging. Therefore, the mental readiness for the individual and team competitions is crucial. chemistry The team members must continue to be maintained so that what has been trained during the coaching period can be displayed perfectly on the day of the competition,” he concluded.
