SERANG - The atmosphere of renewal spirit envelops the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) of State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) Banten. Today, Wednesday (13/5/2026), the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Masykur, M.Hum., officially inaugurated the board of Student Organizations (Ormawa) at the faculty level for the latest period of service in 2026.
The solemn inauguration procession included the inauguration of the management of the Faculty Student Senate (SEMA), the Faculty Student Executive Board (DEMA), and the Study Program Student Association (HMPS) within the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab. The oath of office was taken directly by the Dean of FUDA and followed by all new administrators.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) emphasized that students should understand the meaning of FUDA's slogan “Critically, Locally, and Globally”. “CriticallyFUDA's academic community is required to have a tradition of critical, analytical, and methodological thinking in studying and responding to various religious, social, and humanities issues. Not accepting information raw, but always prioritizing research and in-depth study. Locally has the understanding that the knowledge learned must be grounded and rooted in local wisdom. FUDA is committed to maintaining and integrating the values of the nation's traditions and culture as a strong foothold of identity in society. While GloballyThis means that FUDA is oriented towards global insights and standards. Students and graduates are encouraged to be able to take part, collaborate, and provide contributions and solutions in the international arena without losing their Islamic and Indonesian identity, ”explained the Dean of FUDA.
In this historic moment, the relay of student leadership at the faculty level was officially handed over. Brother Alan Maulana was officially inaugurated as Chairman of DEMA Faculty, while the leadership of SEMA Faculty was entrusted to brother Bayu Asep Saputera. Both are expected to be the driving force of student aspirations and creativity at the faculty level.
Responding to this inauguration, Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten Dr. Endang Saeful Anwar, M,A also gave his comments. He expressed his appreciation as well as high hopes for the newly appointed administrators to be able to synergize with the vision and mission of the faculty.
“We congratulate all SEMA, DEMA, and HMPS administrators who have been officially inaugurated today. Student organizations are a place for forging character, intellect, and leadership. Therefore, ormawa must be a strategic partner of the faculty,” said Vice Dean III.
Furthermore, he gave a special message to the new DEMA and SEMA leaders, “I hope that under the leadership of Mr. Alan Budiana in DEMA and Mr. Bayu Saputera in SEMA, the FUA student movement will be more solid. Create innovative, collaborative, and inclusive work programs. We look forward to your real contribution in improving student achievement while bringing the good name of our beloved alma mater in the national and international arena.”
The inauguration ceremony was closed with a congratulatory session from the dean, lecturers, and invited guests to the new administrators, followed by a group photo session. This inauguration also marks the beginning of a new chapter of academic dynamics and student organizations at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab UIN SMH Banten.
