FUDA | Thursday (16/11/2023) - The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUDA) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten conducted a series of collaborative activities with the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung on November 14-16, 2023. The activities involved various aspects, including Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Benchmarking, Visiting Lecturer, and curriculum review.
The Dean of FUDA UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FAH UIN SGD Bandung, Dr. H. Dedi Supriadi, S.Ag, M.Hum. The meeting was held in the meeting room of the Dean of FAH UIN SGD Bandung, and the event was chaired directly by Dr. H. Dedi Supriadi, S.Ag, M.Hum. This activity aims to improve the quality and relevance of the curriculum, as well as strengthen cooperation between the two Islamic higher education institutions.
In his speech, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the two faculties. “This cooperation is not only an exchange of experiences, but also a strategic step to create synergy in the development of Islamic science and humanities in Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. H. Dedi Supriadi emphasized the importance of cross-faculty collaboration to support continuous academic and research growth. “We hope that this cooperation will not only be a one-time event, but a basis for long-term collaboration that benefits both parties,” he said.
Focus Group Discussion (FGD) became one of the main agendas in this series of activities. The Dean and Vice Deans had intensive discussions to exchange ideas, experiences, and thoughts related to curriculum development and research in the field of Adab and Humanities.
In addition, benchmarking activities are carried out to see models and best practices that have been implemented by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The delegation from FUDA UIN SMH Banten gained valuable insights related to academic management, research, and curriculum development that can be adopted and applied at FUDA UIN SMH Banten.
Visiting Lecturer also became a valuable moment in this activity. FUDA UIN SMH Banten lecturers gave guest lectures to students of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN SGD Bandung. This not only provided new insights but also enriched the academic experience for both parties.
The activity was closed with a curriculum review session, where the head of FUDA UIN SMH Banten and the head of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung provided input and recommendations for the existing curriculum. This is a concrete step in an effort to improve the quality of education in both faculties.
