FUDA | Tuesday (08/08/2023) - The History of Islamic Civilization Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held a seminar with the theme “Becoming a Creative and Innovative History Activist” which was held at FUDA Hall Lt. 2. This seminar was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 08.00-12.00 WIB.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Deputy Deans, Head of Division, Head of SPI Study Program, Secretary of SPI Study Program, Lecturers and students of the History of Islamic Civilization Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, along with seminar speakers. The speakers of this seminar were Mrs. Lita Rahmiati, S.Sos, M.PP., she is the Head of the Cultural Preservation Center (BPK). Then M. Nandang Sunandar, M.A. (secretary of the History of Islamic Civilization Study Program) became the moderator of the seminar. This seminar aims to provide an understanding of cultural heritage objects and motivation for students of the History of Islamic Civilization Study Program to be more creative and innovative in studying and presenting information about history.
The seminar was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag. He hopes that this seminar will be able to provide insight, knowledge and motivation from the speakers, so that SPI students have the ability as a prospective historian and are able to provide information about history in a creative and innovative way.
Lita Rahmiati, S.Sos., M.PP. said in this seminar that it is very important to revive cultural heritage.
“Reviving cultural heritage with historical activities is very important, such as holding cultural art exhibitions, cultural and historical festivals, so that cultural heritage objects are not only limited to ancient buildings, but have activities that are still related to historical values, and preserve them.” Lita Rahmiati, S.Sos., M.PP.
In addition, he explained how to display and create these activities, that it requires creativity and innovation from historians. Because they are the ones who work in that field, so that they continue to work and care for historical relics, so that they remain sustainable.
In the last session, Lita Rahmiati, S.Sos., M.PP, said that there are scholarships for historical and cultural activists. She hoped that the seminar participants could take advantage of the platform for exhibitions, culture and master's and doctoral programs. After the presentation was over, it was continued with a question and answer session and ended with a photo session with all seminar participants.
