UIN Public Relations The UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten Campus Ambassador Association held the First Round of Auditions for the 2026 UIN SMH Banten Campus Ambassador Selection in the Multipurpose Room on the 3rd Floor of the UIN SMH Banten Rectorate Building, Friday morning, October 2, 2026.
Under the theme “Achieving Excellence, Inspiring a Generation,” the event was attended by university leaders and the Campus Ambassador Advisor, who provided guidance and officially opened the selection process.
Phase 1 of the auditions was attended by students from various academic programs and faculties at UIN SMH Banten. This event is part of the selection process to identify students who possess the potential, character, integrity, and communication skills necessary to serve as Campus Ambassadors and represent both the student body and the institution.
A total of 41 participants registered through the online system, with 31 participants attending and participating in the audition series in person. Participants who pass the first round will then be narrowed down to the top 24 to take a psychological test and proceed to the next selection stage.
The Event Coordinator, Lutfi Rizki Pratama, stated that the Campus Ambassador Selection is not only a competition but also a platform for students to develop their potential and skills.

“Under the theme ”Achieving Excellence, Inspiring the Next Generation,’ this Campus Ambassador Selection is expected to produce outstanding students of strong character who will serve as an inspiration to the next generation. We thank all the participants for having the courage to seize this opportunity to showcase their best potential,” said Lutfi.
Yayan Ahyani, Chairperson of the UIN SMH Banten Campus Ambassador Program, noted that participant enthusiasm for this year’s Campus Ambassador Election has increased. She emphasized that the selection process was conducted with a focus on objective evaluation and was open to all students who met the requirements.

“This year, there were 41 applicants on the registration website—a significant increase. Campus Ambassadors do not subjectively judge applicants based on their background. As long as they are currently students at UIN Banten and meet the requirements, everyone is eligible to apply. A Campus Ambassador isn’t just about wearing a sash or appearing on a flyer; what matters most is the depth of their thinking in realizing UIN Banten’s vision,” Yayan emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Advisor to the UIN SMH Banten Campus Ambassadors, H. Ahmad Riyadi, S.Ag., emphasized that a Campus Ambassador has the role and responsibility of representing the student body. According to him, intellectual ability, broad perspective, and communication skills are essential qualities that an ambassador must possess.

“The title ”Ambassador’ refers to a specific role. Their most important responsibility is to serve as a representative of students who are intelligent, knowledgeable, and possess strong communication skills. Ambassadors will serve as partners to the Public Relations Office in promoting the university’s good reputation. “Going forward, we also advocate for the status of Campus Ambassadors to be elevated to the same level as Student Activity Units (UKM),” said H. Ahmad Riyadi, S.Ag.
The Vice Rector III for Student Affairs and Cooperation at UIN SMH Banten, Dr. Dedi Sunardi, M.H., who was present and officially opened the event, also expressed his appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm. He emphasized that Campus Ambassadors must possess intellectual ability, good character, and proficiency in utilizing digital media.

“Being a Campus Ambassador is not just about appearance; one must also possess intellectual passion and noble character. In today’s digital age, an ambassador must be an authentic digital storyteller who wisely utilizes digital media, while also serving as a purpose-driven change maker capable of collaborating and making a tangible positive impact on society,” emphasized Dr. Dedi Sunardi, M.H.
The Phase 1 Auditions mark the first step in the 2026 UIN SMH Banten Campus Ambassador Selection process. Through a phased selection process, this event is expected to identify students capable of representing the values, vision, and positive image of UIN SMH Banten, as well as contributing to disseminating information and promoting the campus to the public.
