UIN Public Relations – UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten held a ceremony to commemorate National Santri Day 2026 at the Rectorate Field on Campus 2 of UIN SMH Banten on Thursday morning, October 22, 2026. This event was combined with the send-off for participants in the Faculty of Da’wah’s International Field Professional Practicum (PPL) and the presentation of Decrees (SK) on promotions to employees at UIN SMH Banten.

The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere and was attended by the university leadership, faculty members, support staff, students, and the academic community of UIN SMH Banten. This year’s National Santri Day celebration carried the theme “Santri Strengthen the Nation Toward a Golden Indonesia.”.

The series of ceremonies began with the raising of the Red and White flag and the reading of the Jihad Resolution, followed by the delivery of the address by the ceremony’s presiding officer. The Rector of UIN SMH Banten, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Ishom, M.A., who served as the ceremony’s presiding officer, read the message from the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. They can become anything—from religious scholars, scientists, educators, and entrepreneurs to national leaders—as long as they continue to learn, remain dedicated, and devote their knowledge to the progress of Indonesia. Master both religious knowledge and science and technology. Preserve the traditions of the pesantren, but never be afraid of change,” said Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Ishom, M.A., as he delivered his address.
