FUDA | Wednesday (08/03/2023) - Short Course Technical Use of Library Applications is a training activity for students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab in using library applications, or often called Reference Management Software (RMS). The Short Course activity was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri, M.Ag., at the FUDA Hall on the 2nd floor, at 09.00 - 10.00 WIB.
“We are now living in an age of convenience and sophistication. Twenty years ago, I was just using a computer with a BIOS system. Now everything is sophisticated. Even now there are applications that are used to write reference lists. This was unimaginable in the past. So, you have to make the best use of technological advances now, don't be old school.” Dean Fuda explained to the participants in his speech while opening the event.
The resource person at the short course activity was Apit Hidayat, S.Ag., he is one of the book editors from the Sirojul Munir Albantani publisher. The material presented was how to use reference management applications for students. Apit Hidayat explained two popular library management applications used, namely Mendeley and Zotero.
There were 50 participants who attended the short course from five study programs at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab, namely AFI, BSA, IAT, IH and SPI. Each study program was represented by 10 participants. The short course activities were carried out in the Hadith Science laboratory. Short course alumni have an obligation to teach their friends in their department about how to use the library application.
