UIN Public Relations – Salafiyah At-Thahiriyah Madrasah Aliyah (MA) conducted a campus tour and educational visit to Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University (UIN) Banten. The event, attended by students and their accompanying teachers, took place in the Multipurpose Room on the 3rd floor of the UIN SMH Banten Rectorate on Wednesday morning, September 30, 2026.
This visit is part of an effort to give students a firsthand look at the university environment and campus life. Through this activity, students are expected to gain insight into their educational options after completing madrasah and to begin planning their academic and career paths.
During the event, UIN SMH Banten introduced the campus environment, various academic programs, and the concept of interdisciplinary integration—a defining feature of education at UIN SMH Banten. This concept combines religious studies with science, social sciences, and other academic disciplines.
In his remarks, the representative from UIN SMH Banten, Vice Rector 3 Dr. Dedi Sunardi, M.H., stated that educational visits can serve as a means for students to gain insight into their educational options and the fields they wish to pursue after graduating from madrasah.
“This educational visit is not merely a ceremonial event. It is a path toward building your careers and futures—helping you decide where to go and what field to pursue after graduation. At UIN SMH Banten, we integrate the natural and social sciences with religious studies. It is these Madrasah Aliyah graduates who will play a crucial role in the future of the Islamic world,” said Dr. Dedi Sunardi, M.H.
He also explained that UIN SMH Banten has a beautiful and conducive campus environment that supports the students’ learning process. It is hoped that this visit, which introduced the students to the university’s facilities and academic programs, will broaden their horizons regarding the higher education options available to them.
Meanwhile, a representative of the Salafiyah At-Thahiriyah Islamic Boarding School, Ms. Siti Rohmah, S.E., M.Si., expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the academic community of UIN SMH Banten.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the entire academic community of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten for warmly welcoming the group of students and chaperones from MA Salafiyah At-Thahiriyah. Through this event, our students were able to gain a realistic perspective and motivation to continue their education at a higher level,” said Ms. Siti Rohmah, S.E., M.Si.
Through this campus tour, students at MA Salafiyah Ath-Thohiriyah are expected to become more familiar with the world of higher education and gain a broader perspective when choosing their field of study. The visit also serves as an opportunity to encourage students to prepare for continuing their education and plan for their future based on their interests and the fields they wish to pursue.
